The PUBG Global Series 1 (PGS1) Finals kicked off in Seoul's Seongsu-dong on March 21, 2026, marking a significant event in the world of esports. Hosted by Krafton, the tournament gathered 16 teams that had successfully navigated through the group, winners, and survivor stages, setting the stage for fierce competition.

PGS is recognized as the premier international competition for the popular battle royale game, *PUBG: Battlegrounds*. This year’s event is particularly noteworthy as it is the first under the newly announced circuit system, which will include three tournaments culminating in a comprehensive ranking system. The revamped format aims to enhance the competitive landscape leading up to 2026.

Four teams from South Korea entered the PGS1, but only DN SuperS and T1 made it to the finals. Over the course of two days, these teams will compete in 10 matches against 14 other global contenders for the coveted championship trophy.

The first match set the tone for the finals, with immediate action and high stakes. Taking place on Erangel, the match saw intense firefights as teams maneuvered through the shifting play zones. The southern region of Primorsk became a hotbed for skirmishes, leading to early eliminations. T1 faced an unfortunate setback, losing a member early to FullSense (FS), which put them at a disadvantage right from the start.

As the match progressed, teams that secured positions within the safe zone clashed with those on the outskirts. Cerberus (FCE) was the first team to be eliminated after failing to withstand a confrontation with FullSense. By the fifth safe zone, the battle intensified, leading to the early exits of S2G, eArena (EA), and Furia (FUR). Fortunately for the Korean representatives, both teams managed to position themselves favorably within the safe zone, enhancing their chances of securing a win.

T1, however, struggled to maintain their footing and was eventually ousted by Twisted Minds (TWIS), failing to reach the top four. In contrast, DN SuperS performed admirably, overcoming challenges from Furia and 4AM to expand their territory and assert dominance. Despite a challenge from Jingdong, DN SuperS showcased calm and strategic gameplay, ultimately clinching the first match victory.

The second match shifted to Miramar, where expectations were high for teams like Petrichor Road (PeRo), who had shown promise in earlier stages. Unfortunately, they fell short against Cerberus and were eliminated quickly. The Expendables (TE) gained momentum, climbing to mid-tier standings, while the play area narrowed to the central Kendra region, complicating matters for teams positioned on the outskirts.

T1 faced another setback, falling to Natus Vincere (NAVI) and exiting the match prematurely. DN SuperS also struggled against 4AM, finishing early in the match. The top four teams emerged as Anyone's Legend (AL), Twisted Minds (TWIS), 4AM, and Jingdong, with AL ultimately taking the chicken dinner.

As of the conclusion of the first day, 4AM took the overall lead, bolstered by their performance despite having fewer placement points. DN SuperS followed closely, thanks to their first match victory. The first day of finals is set to continue through to match five, maintaining the excitement and tension among both players and spectators.

Prior to the finals, Krafton conducted the PGS Circuit 1 Survival Stage on March 20, 2026. This stage featured a total of 24 teams, including 12 global partners and 12 regional qualifiers. The structure of this circuit is designed for cumulative scoring across multiple tournaments, enhancing the competitive dynamic.

The Survival Stage ran from March 18 to 22, encompassing group, winners, survival, and final stages. On March 19, the winners stage took place, yielding notable results. DN SuperS and T1 both scored 44 points, securing third and fourth places respectively, which granted them direct entry into the finals. However, other South Korean teams, Crazy Raccoon and Gen.G, faced challenges and did not qualify for the finals.

Gen.G struggled, finishing in 10th place in the Survival Stage, while Crazy Raccoon ended their run in 15th. Both teams exhibited determination but ultimately fell short of securing their spots in the finals. The competition remains fierce, with teams showcasing their skills across various platforms, including official broadcasts on PUBG esports channels and collaborative streams featuring popular streamers.

The PGS1 Finals not only highlight the talent within the PUBG esports community but also signify a new chapter in the competitive structure of the game. As the tournament progresses, fans and players alike are eager to see how strategies evolve and which teams will rise to the occasion in this high-stakes environment.

With thrilling matches ahead, the excitement surrounding the PGS1 Finals is palpable. Will DN SuperS continue their winning streak, or will another team emerge victorious? Only time will tell as the competition unfolds.
